As we close out the year, our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible community that makes theBelieve and Achieve Book Club so special. Because of your support, we’ve seen stories come to life, confidence grow, and meaningful connections flourish.
Together, we’ve created more than just a book club. We’ve built a space where ideas inspire action, where learning fuels growth, and where every conversation helps shape brighter futures.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for a magical and inspiring evening at the 2025 BABC GALA.
This year's event embraced the vibrant Mardi Gras theme, and our guests did not disappoint—everyone was dressed to impress in their finest attire.
The evening began with a grand procession of our Board Members, walking proudly alongside the remarkable young women who were awarded scholarships.

We were honored to have Ernie G as our energetic and entertaining MC, keeping the crowd engaged with laughter and heartfelt moments.

A special highlight this year was presenting our very first Alumni Rising Star Award to Athena Adame, a 2023 scholarship recipient who graduated two years early from UCLA with a degree in Political Science. An extraordinary achievement. Congratulations, Athena!

Our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Rosemary Bernal-Gomez, moved us with her powerful story of perseverance and success, which was a true inspiration to all.

We celebrated nine outstanding scholarship recipients, each receiving a college scholarship along with certificates of recognition from the City of Whittier and Senator Susan Rubio.
The evening concluded with raffle prizes, joyous celebration, and lots of dancing!
